Addie 3 Months

Addison is 3 months old (2 weeks ago). Never mind how late i am…
We cannot believe how much she has grown and are trying to absorb every minute of it! I am so obsessed with this girl, she brings such joy to my life. She has been waking up more and more and smiling like crazy. She is getting so strong and just started rolling over onto her back. She is so interactive and looks around for us and will "ask" to be held. She loves to be cuddled, and I am savouring that like crazy!! She is waking up more and more, which is really fun for all of us! She loves her sleep this girl, and is usually awesome at putting herself to sleep, as long as she is wrapped up tight! She loves to say "a-goo, a-goo" in the sweetest little voice with the most to die for duck lips!
Addie weighs 13 pounds 4 oz
she is 24 inches long
she is wearing 3-6 month clothes
she is doing wonderful. She likes to wake up to eat normally just once a night now, and she sleeps in her crib which is great, although I miss her being next to me in the bassinet at times. I usually can't resist and have her cuddle with me in the very early mornings after Tim leaves for work.

My girls - the fishy crackers are necessary to keep Renne still! I don't know how moms get these amazing pictures of their kids. it's clearly a talent that I do not have!!

Renne is a bit overzealous with her sister at times, and Addie handles it like a champ. I love watching these two interact. I have to watch closely…The other day Renne was putting lotion on Addie's face, and she also tries to feed her food. I think she has good intentions…She just wishes Addie could be her doll, which of course terrifies me a bit when she throws her dolly into the carseat.  I hear her all the time calling her dollies "Addie" and telling them "It's ok", "I got you, baby" and "NO, Addie!" haha (her favourite word lately) She plays this game where she will go into the pantry and say "Mommy, NO!!" and then she shuts the door like I'm not allowed to come in. She does it over and over haha. What the heck kid? She cracks me up.

So happy and content.

This is a typical Addison expression. I adore her.

I don't want her to change, but I can't wait to see who she turns into, all at the same time!

She loves baths just like her older sister
She loves to be wrapped up tight, always with those little hands clutched into her tummy.

This is such a classic Addie Renne picture. Renne eating a fishy cracker while Addie swings her right arm and gives me the puppy dog eyes. I love those little faces…

Quick parental update: Tim and I are both doing really well. Tim is working hard at work designing and constantly making improvements to old designs. They are very lucky to have him at AGI. He has a very special brain, and can see such intricate things in his head. I love him for choosing a unique career that perfectly suites his skills and brain. He chose something outside the box and I admire him for it. He keeps busy being the 11-year old scout leader, playing basketball with guys in the ward, and his has a few plans to build our deck and the girls a sandbox in the coming weeks. He is always so so helpful when he comes home, I never have to ask him to do anything. He will gladly make dinner and watch both girls for me so I can run to the store or go for a run. I'm so so lucky. I've been trying to eat healthy and exercise and I absolutely love getting into a routine with that. It feels so nice to see your body slowly come back. I keep busy being the music chairman in our ward, and am loving it! I get to choose all of the music, help people do musical numbers and work with the choir. It's really fun for me! I also have subbed a few times (I know, it's crazy) in the past few weeks, and that's been….good. I miss my girls, but the day goes super fast, and I know the girls are in wonderful hands with my mom. I'm not going to do it too much, but it's nice to make a little extra money and get into the classroom. It's just who I am. I love going into "Teacher mode". I currently can't imagine leaving my girls to take any kind of position, so subbing works great for the time being. I am loving my mommy routine that I've worked hard to sort out. We love going to library time, the park, stay and play, and the pool. We have so many little friends who live close, it's been awesome! Our ward is amazing and I've made some really awesome friends. Can't wait to have lots of fun this summer at the cabin and continue watching my girls grow. I love it more than anything. This time goes by in a flash, and I really try to savour the little moments. The moments when Renne pats me on the back and says "I burp you Mommy, it's ok" or when she hugs me after a fit and says "Sorry mommy". Or when Renne hears Addie crying and runs to her with her awesome dramatic face and says "ADDIE CRYING, I help her!" and they give each other a huge smile. 2 has been an adjustment that has really humbled me, but motherhood really does refine you and make you better. It has its defeating moments for sure, but I have seen myself stretch and grow over the past few months more than I ever have in my life. I'm praying and reading more than I ever have before. I cling to those things because, I need them in a very real way. A wise mother in Edmonton told me, "you grow immensely with each child. You can't imagine having more than what you have because, you aren't ready for it until you have to be." I try and remember this when I feel like a rookie mom. We don't all wake up one day and magically become a sane, organized mother of 4 children. It takes lots of practice, failing, and hard work to get to that point. And just because I'm not there yet, doesn't mean I won't be. I'm ranting…That's all for now.
